Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed the global tourism industry, with the metaverse emerging as a revolutionary tool for tourism management and marketing. This study explores the potential of the Metaverse Tourism Model in enhancing tourism management in Jordan through AI-powered virtual tour guides, virtual destinations, and digital payments using cryptocurrencies. This research adopts a survey-based methodology, utilizing a structured questionnaire with a 7-point Likert scale to collect data from stakeholders, including tourists, tourism professionals, and technology experts in Jordan. The findings confirm that these metaverse-driven elements significantly contribute to enhancing tourism marketing strategies and improving tourism management in Jordan. Metaverse based model ensures secure and seamless financial transactions, fostering a decentralized and sustainable digital tourism economy. The study provides empirical evidence that the adoption of metaverse tourism can drive economic growth, promote cultural heritage, and create new opportunities for digital tourism experiences. These insights offer valuable implications for policymakers and industry leaders aiming to integrate metaverse technologies into tourism development strategies.
